Heather answers wedding planning questions

What does Wedding Management mean?

Have you heard of the terms "day-of" and "month-of"? They are a great start as an explanation, but Wedding Management more accurately defines my role as a wedding planner. Wedding Management is not full-service planning, although, upon booking, it starts with a kick-off call to discuss your wedding details along with providing you with some helpful planning tools. I also get involved in floor plans, rental review, timelines, and vendor contacts. With Bona Fide, your planner doesn't just show up on the wedding day; your planner makes a solid plan for your wedding day! Hit me up here, and I will tell you more. It is worth it!

What if I think I need more planning support?

Sure! If you feel that you need more support with vendor decisions, event design, or other wedding-related tasks, let's discuss your concerns and add these features to your original proposal. You may also feel confident and believe that you only need Wedding Management, but, as time goes on, you find that you need more assistance than you imagined. It happens, and services may be added on to your original package at any time.

Do I plan other events?

Just about anything! In addition to planning many, many weddings, I plan birthday celebrations, corporate celebrations, Mitzvahs, non-profit fundraisers, grand galas and university events. You name it, I can plan it!

How far out do I need to hire you?

I would say the sooner the better, especially during peak wedding season dates in the spring and fall. That being said, please reach out if you are getting nervous or overwhelmed as the date approaches. I might just be available and, if not, I may be able to refer you to someone that is.

Do I plan weddings in the LGBTQ community?

Absolutely! When I say "let love rule" that means that there are no barriers or judgements on love. Everyone regardless of their sexual orientation deserves love and a great celebration of their love with friends and family!

What pricing do your packages start at?

Wedding planning packages start at $2,950. Of course, after an initial consultation, services may be added to suit your unique wedding planning needs.

What are peak wedding months in North Carolina?

Peak wedding months for Bona Fide Events are March, April, May, June, September, October and November.

What do you think about elopements or micro-weddings?

I am so excited about the trend towards elopements and micro-weddings! Not all celebrations have to be big to be amazing. Want to tie the knot quickly and/or with a select group of guests but don't know where to start? Let me know if you want to talk more about micro-weddings or elopements with me here. Special pricing may apply especially during off-peak times and weekdays!

How about destination weddings?

Pick your place and together we can make this happen! I love destination weddings whether we are off to British Columbia or Costa Rica (or anywhere for that matter!). I am a wanderlust person by nature and as resourceful as they come.
